MEET DR. ROBERTS

Christopher A. Roberts, M.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon in Venice, Florida.  Dr. Roberts specializes in sports medicine and advanced arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee.  His surgical techniques include modern technology and customized robotic-assisted joint replacements. He is committed to educating each of his patients with a personalized care plan. Having overcome a sports injury himself, a femur fracture at the age of 15, Dr. Roberts emphasizes a wholesome patient-centered experience.

 

Before settling in Venice, Dr. Roberts operated at University of Florida Shands Hospital at Jacksonville, Mayo Clinic Hospital at Jacksonville, and Nemours Children’s Specialty Care at Wolfson Pediatric Hospital. Dr. Roberts has served as team physician to several athletic programs, including the MLB Colorado Rockies. He currently serves as the team physician for Venice High School athletes.

Dr. Roberts is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an active member of several medical societies and organizations including the exclusive sports medicine, Hawkins Society. Dr. Roberts is a prominent member in his community and has been honored as a "Top 40 Business Professional" in Venice, Florida.

Outside of work Dr. Roberts enjoys spending time with his wife, their two children and golden retriever.  As a family, they enjoy attending Sunday church worship, sports games, bike riding, and beach days at the Venice Pier.
